The 'Northern Lights' EP was Martin Warnes' first release under the pseudonym 'Resonator'. It was also the first release by the newly formed Ninebar Records in May 1995. Filled with samples of Himalayan field recordings and obscure references to progressive rock and classical music it was never going to be a dancefloor filler, but it paved the way for the later 'Telharmonium' album, and is now available for free download on Resonators Soundcloud page.

"Released in 1996 by a label making a kamekaze dive into oblivion, Telharmonium presented itself to an uncaring public without any real promotion and no proper distribution. Consequently it sank without trace.
Resonator was the first artist released on Ninebar and as such suffered from the labels lack of experience and over abundant enthusiasm. Packed with unusual samples, lavish strings, dub bass and proglike guitars this sits somewhere between Red Snapper and DJ Shadow and is as good as either. Herb n' Decay was the first release by Dub Culture. Released by Pterodactyl Records in September 1995 it was a 4 track EP aimed at dancefloors catering to the newly emerging genre of Drum & Bass. Containing the classic 'Herb' and featuring renowned reggae vocalist Mikey Brookes on 'When the Party's Over', it was Pterodactyls first release. The EP is available for free download on Dub Culture's Soundcloud page.
